MCD Medical Computers Deutschland enters into strategic partnership with Barco to sell surgical display range

Kortrijk, 13 January 2015 – Global enterprise visualization expert Barco has entered into a strategic partnership with MCD Medical Computers Deutschland, a leading manufacturer of IT systems for the healthcare industry. Under the agreement, MCD will provide its customers with ready access to Barco’s surgical displays, as part of its broad ‘MCD Medical Line’ of medical IT solutions. MCD chose to replace the existing surgical displays in its portfolio on account of the high quality of the products and the professional approach of the Barco team. Both Barco and MCD believe the partnership will help them strengthen their foothold in the surgical display market within the DACH region.
Established in 2005 and boasting over 20 years’ experience in medical applications, MCD offers professional healthcare organizations a complete portfolio of dedicated IT solutions. Besides standard PCs, displays, panel PCs, portable terminals and input devices within its ‘MCD Medical Line’, MCD also develops and manufactures medical devices for large medical device manufacturers. In addition, the company delivers customized, integrated platforms for operating rooms (ORs), intensive care units, diagnostic centers, laboratories and clean rooms around the world. Barco’s surgical display portfolio will become a strategic component of this offering. As an experienced integrator, MCD works closely together with its customers at every stage of a project, from design, consultancy, development, system integration and certification through to after-sales services.
