CinemaX Exhibition features works by world leading digital artists displayed on Optoma’s new state-of-the-art 4K laser projector

Fremont, Calif., September 1, 2020 – Optoma and FRAMED today launch a new digital art exhibition that brings together a specially curated collection of artworks by new and emerging talents for display on the new Optoma CinemaX P2 all-in-one 4K ultra short throw laser projector. The CinemaX Exhibition combines revolutionary projector technology brought to life by the latest digital creation techniques, including dynamic data-driven animations, experimental films and games.

To create the exhibition, Optoma invited FRAMED, a leading destination for digital art, to select twelve original digital artworks featured in an experiential “exhibition” project available exclusively through the just released Optoma CinemaX P2 projector.

“Extending our ‘Experience more’ vision and success of bringing creativity and artwork to life in home environments through projection, we are excited to partner with FRAMED, and extend the opportunities to engage in the digital arts,” said Derek Lin, Senior Director of Optoma Corporation Brand Center. “Our customers will be inspired by the incredible creations from artists around the world featured on our latest CinemaX series projector and enjoy the ambiance that these artworks bring to the modern home.”

“At FRAMED, we’ve always championed new forms of digital art and the innovative minds that create them,” says FRAMED co-founder and CEO William Lai. “With our existing line of 24-inch FRAMED devices we’ve developed an elegant digital canvas that integrates nascent screen-based works into the everyday home. With our collection of artworks and Optoma CinemaX projector, we combine Optoma’s award-winning cinematic experience with the new generation of larger-than-life artworks.”

“With the FRAMED and Optoma partnership, we continue to invest and deepen our commitment to an emerging art form and a growing global community of digital creators,” says William Lai. “Weaving their work into living rooms around the globe creates exciting opportunities to reimagine private space. By opening it up for creativity, innovation, and discovery we increase its cultural relevance and foster the kinds of mesmerizing experiences that enrich a living space.”

Launching this month, CinemaX Exhibition will feature 12 radically different artistic creations, launched individually over the course of six months, that showcase twelve individual artist’s unique artistic license alongside Optoma’s cutting-edge image capabilities. The exhibition features art from world leading digital artists: Kynd (Japan/U.S.), Franz Rosati (Italy), Yoshi Sodeoka (Japan/U.S.), Arash Akbari (Iran), Giovanni Muzio (Italy), Alex Le Guillou (France), LIA (Austria), Stéphane Pogran (France), B. Johansson (U.S.), and Jeremy Rotsztain (Canada). The exhibition challenges what a home cinema projector can mean as a canvas for unbridled self-expression.
