When planning for window shades in areas where children will be present, safety must be considered. Improperly installed window coverings with closed loops, such as mini blinds and Roman shades, can create a choking hazard.

To address this issue, Draper has introduced a new manual solution without operable cords. The FlexShade® Twin Pull provides all the benefits of bead chain operation but in a child safe design. Twin pull wands on both sides of the clutch eliminate the continuous loop present in mini blinds and roman shades. The clutch mechanism has a simple, intuitive operation: pull the front rod to raise the shade and pull the back rod to lower it. It never needs adjusting and is available in sizes through 8′ (244 cm) wide. The pull wands are available in 20” or 40” (51 cm or 102 cm) lengths. Brackets are available in white or black to match clutch color.
