QSC’s Acoustic Design™ surface mount loudspeakers are professional, two-way, full-range systems for cinema surround applications. Ease-of-installation is the driving principle behind QSC’s next generation of small format, surface mount loudspeakers. For immersive sound surround formats requiring special aiming practices, AD-S loudspeakers offer extreme flexibility for optimizing surround sound coverage for any cinema surround format. They can easily be mounted to any weight bearing, flat surface allowing the loudspeaker to be deployed in horizontal or vertical orientation. Pan and tilt aiming for front and rear mounted surrounds is a simple adjustment using the included X-Mount™ hardware, which enables the installer to simply lift the loudspeaker onto the mount and lock it into place. The loudspeaker can then be adjusted for pan and tilt and locked in place in 7.5 degree increments. Knurled surfaces on the mount’s pivot points ensure that the loudspeaker aiming angle stays fixed and will not slip over time. No special tools are required to install or adjust the loudspeaker angle. AD-S8T, AD-S10T and AD-S12 models feature M10 mounting points for suspension via eye-bolts as well as mounting points for a yoke bracket for downward-firing ceiling mount applications. A seismic mount is provided on the rear of the enclosure. Screw-down, Euro-block connectors allow pre-wiring of the system.
